Please note:
To prevent fogging during use, we highly recommend running the mirror under hot water for a few seconds, prior to inserting into the patient's mouth, to raise the overall temperature of the mirror (prevents condensation). A soft paper towel or 2 x 2 gauze pad can be used to remove excess water droplets.
 
Recommended Cleaning Instructions for the Full Arch Intraoral Dental Mirror

Care should be taken to ensure both proper cleaning and longevity. The recommended method for decontamination is thorough cleaning followed by steam sterilization using the following procedures.

Manual cleaning:

Prior to autoclaving we recommend the mirror be placed in an UltraSonic cleaner, separate from other sharp instruments (to prevent scratching of the chromed, mirrored surface), to remove any contaminants. The mirror should be thoroughly rinsed, dried and placed in a sterilization bag prior to autoclaving.

Automated cleaning:

Steam Auto Clave:
Time - 15-20 minutes
Temperature - 250-270 degrees
Pressure - 15 PSI
OR Chemical Pressure:
Time - 20 minutes
Temperature - 270 degrees
Pressure - 20 PSI

Rest the mirror against the lower, front teeth. Have the patient curl their upper lip away from their anterior teeth.

Press the mirror against the upper, front teeth. Have the patient curl their lower lip away from their anterior teeth.
